Welcome to Pilates

Many different exercises have evolved from the initial practices that Joseph Pilates taught. However the same core principles are the basis of my Stott Pilates Mat classes.

My personal drive to start practicing Mat Pilates was a body shaping decision. After my second child I wanted to tone and strengthen my whole abdominal area and improve my posture. I also had an old shoulder injury that was not improving with traditional manipulation methods.

After 18 months the results were dramatic:

  • Posture much improved and commented upon

  • Money saved by not needing further shoulder manipulation

  • Dress size reduced from size 14 to 10

  • Overall feeling of wellbeing
